Rachel Eleanor Louise Lahote (nee Black)(b. May 8, 1986), is the wife of Paul Lahote: a former Quileute shape-shifter of Sam Uley's Pack. After returning to La Push almost nine year following the death of her mother, Rachel came home where she was offered numerous governmental jobs that required her use from computer engineering.

While walking along First Beach, Rachel was imprinted on by Paul Lahote and was told about all stories of the Quileute legends - something she reluctantly accepted. Originally, Rachel had wanted to leave La Push, but after he had asked her to marry him, she had agreed to stay on the reservation.
